- an ex- industrial worker ( the continued automation of jobs, condensing of ownership, plant closings, trade wars, and degradation of living standards here has rendered me a former industrial worker...now just part-time lumpen proletariat) and university student (everyone needs a hobby...my hobbies have evolved and, to keep things straight, i have left my formal student career behind for reasons that are too detailed to delve into here...continuing to be a student of life however and not adverse to learning...stasis is death ) sliding down the back side of middle age...a social loner with collectivist leanings...explain that.

there's no difference whether the politicos come from a large metropolitan or a small rural area, they look you in the eye and tell you what you want to hear.....look at what our political parties are throwing at us, how much of this hogwash will sensible people absorb,before we flock to the west coast to end the pain....we have an assistant coroner on trial for stealing money, credit cards, jewelry from the deceased....at what time did our society take this turn?.....is it the lure of untapped wealth?....when did we loose our conscious....or did they have it in the first place?.....or are they seeing what corporations are doing and it's a case of "what's good for the goose is good for the gander?".....makes me sad to say I'm part of the homo sapiens...these events that our "elected" officials implement will continue in our country and will hear "excuses", most will claim repentance, and someone else will step in and continue to erode what was once an honorable profession....oh, who am I kidding...I always told my brother, who had dreams of grandeur and great wealth to become a politician....there would be unlimited funds at your disposal, unless you do something stupid and get caught.....which most will.....
it's been this way all along joel...when madison talks about protecting the "minority" from an "interested and overbearing majority" he's talking about protecting elite prerogatives...and one elite prerogative is making private debt public...there's nothing at all new about political corruption...i never tire of directing people to wiliam maclay's journal of the first congress...he says he's serving in " a nest of vipers" and one thing that garners his pennsylvanian radical ire is the "impost bill"... the bill setting import duties on goods to raise money for the fledgling government is being stalled by congressmen who have ships at sea...they want to land their goods before the duties go into effect...however, at the same time, they have raise the price of their goods as if the duties were already in effect...basically taking money from both ends of the public purse...and ignoble profession..lair of defrocked clergy, used car salesmen, and lawyers.
why blogger posted the same comment a dozen time is beyond me...things happen for no good reason
